When Firecrawl is the better choice

  • You need to crawl or map whole sites, search the web, or extract JSON with an LLM. Grabber loads one page per request and does none of these.
  • Most of your pages need JavaScript. Firecrawl includes rendering in its 1 credit, and Grabber charges $0.005 for a rendered page.
  • You fetch 100,000 pages or more every month. A plan you use in full costs the same or less per page.
  • You need screenshots, proxies in a given country, or actions on the page.

When Grabber is the better choice

  • Your volume changes from month to month. Grabber credit lasts 365 days, so a quiet month costs nothing and nothing expires at renewal.
  • You want to pay without a plan. On Firecrawl, extra credit needs a paid plan; on Grabber, prepaid credit is the only plan.
  • You fetch up to tens of thousands of pages a month: 10,000 pages cost $10 on Grabber and $44 on Firecrawl Hobby with top-ups.
  • You want an API an agent can learn in one read: one endpoint and five parameters.

Switching from Firecrawl
