When Scrape.do is the better choice
- Sites you need block automated requests. Residential and mobile proxies, geotargeting and anti-bot handling are what Scrape.do is built for.
- You fetch more than about 29,000 pages every month: Hobby then costs much less per page.
- You need sticky sessions, browser interactions or ZIP-code targeting.
When Grabber is the better choice
- You fetch fewer than about 29,000 pages a month, or not every month: there is no $29 plan, and credit lasts 365 days.
- Your agent uses MCP: Grabber has a remote MCP server, and Scrape.do's docs list none, only third-party ones.
- You need text, links or page metadata as separate outputs, not only the page or its Markdown.
Switching from Scrape.do
Both are GET APIs. Grabber reads the key from a header instead of the query.
| Scrape.do | Grabber |
|---|---|
token= in the query | Authorization: Bearer gsh_… header |
render=true | js_render=true |
output=markdown | formats=markdown&unwrap=true |
super=true | No equivalent: Grabber has no residential proxies |
